Jeff Heck
Jeff Heck is a suicide loss survivor, having lost his 33-year-old stepdaughter in February, 2019 to depression, anxiety, PTSD, and self-worth issues. Professionally, he is a civil trial lawyer in Mansfield, Ohio.
In addition to his law practice and as a member of the FASP Steering Committee, Jeff is also the Board Chair of 33 Forever, Inc., a mental health and suicide awareness nonprofit he co-founded with his family and friends after his daughter’s loss. He is also a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation and the Richland County (Ohio) Suicide Prevention Coalition, as well as NAMI Richland County.
Jeff’s past community service includes 16 years on the Lexington (Ohio) Local Schools Board of Education, Board Chairman of Renaissance Performing Arts Association and the Rehabilitation Services of North Central Ohio, Trustee and Secretary of the Richland County Foundation and President of the University Club of Mansfield and the University Club Educational Foundation, among many others.
He is a graduate of The Ohio State University and The University of Florida College of Law and has over 37 years of extensive legal experience in both Ohio and Florida. Professionally, Jeff has served in leadership positions for the Ohio State Bar Association, Richland County Bar Association, and the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys. He is a Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation and a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Ohio Association for Justice, the Richland County Bar Association and the Florida Bar.
Jeff and his wife, Donna (33 Forever’s co-founder and President/CEO), make their home in the Mansfield, Ohio area. They have 6 adult children and 9 grandchildren.
