Lizzy Zinn

Lizzy Zinn lost her older brother, Cameron, to suicide in 2017. Since then, she has worked in tandem with the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation (OSPF) as a voice for those with lived experience. During this time, Lizzy attended The Ohio State University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in military science in Spring of 2021. Shortly after graduating, she was commissioned into the United States Army Medical Corps as a Second Lieutenant after completion of OSU’s Army ROTC program, to serve on active duty after medical school and residency. After recognizing the power behind stories of loss and a need for organized efforts of advocacy, Lizzy worked alongside both OSPF and other members of the Ohio community to create a fierce group of advocates now known as Family Advocates for Suicide Prevention (FASP). Currently, Lizzy is now a third year medical student at Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine and plans to pursue a career in emergency medicine to serve others at their most vulnerable.
